hay all:
Well I have heard of and use Voip. So I thought for example, that I might be able to access the bbs by phone service using something called cip, since I thought it was similar...but I need something called a cip account or some such thing. How does this all work, is it free just to get an account if I'm calling computers for example and where can I get one and the associated cip software?
lol you'd think they would have made a wiki for this stuff...

i used to use sip to call the zone bbs by phone, but it was ages ago.
from what i remember, there is a link on the zone bbs by phone page that links you to the download of the sip software. it's free, and i don't remember getting an acount for it. then again, i just used it to dial zone by phone.
to dial the system, you type
sip:111@zonebbs.com
don't forget the sip part, or it won't dial out.
I prefer sj phone for doing that. while I was sneaking into zbp rarely. you can get it from:

ya but how does it work, with like cell phones and all that, I have a sip client on my nokia but I don't know how it works
I have downloaded sj phone nad tried to call the zone using sip:111@zonebbs.com and I have configured my pin. I get silence...can someone explain?

ah, fixed it. just for reference of windows 7 users. You must disable direct x in SJPhone and engage compatibility for the sjphone.exe program before you will be able to get sound. Now how the hell do you press a pound ssign lmao
